What is Mock-up Fitting Piece

 

Based on the measurements you provided, we create a new custom pattern for your selected design and produce a fitting bodice using substitute fabric. While this sample does not include lace appliqué or final detailing, it accurately reflects the front and back neckline, bust shape, waistline, and sleeve design. For certain mermaid silhouettes, the fitting piece will also extend to the fullest part of the hips to ensure proper fit and proportion. We then ship this fitting sample to you for try-on.

If the fit is satisfactory, please let us know and we will be glad to proceed with the production of your gown using the final fabrics and lace materials.

If any fitting adjustments are needed, please email us your comments and send us photos of the front, side, and back while wearing the fitting piece. You may also send a video if you feel it better demonstrates the areas of concern. We will be happy to refine the custom pattern accordingly to achieve the best possible fit before cutting the final fabric and applying the lace details.

            

You are also welcome to mark any areas of concern directly on the fitting piece using a fabric-safe marker or safety pins and return it to us. This will allow our pattern makers to gain a clearer understanding of the necessary adjustments and further refine the custom pattern for the most accurate fit possible.
